Vero Beach is a city in Indian River County, Florida. It is one of the most popular Florida beaches and part of Florida’s “Treasure Coast”. Besides the sun and sand, it offers good surfing and diving. A lucky beach-goer might even find an artifact or two from the many shipwrecks during the Spanish Galleon Period.
The calm waters of the Vero Beach Marina is perfect for boating and sailing. Thousands of boaters dock for an overnight stay at the Marina each year. If you don’t own a boat, you can easily enjoy the leisure of sailing across calm waters by commissioning a deep sea fishing boat. Canoeing and kayaking are also popular activities in Vero Beach.

Fishing, whether in fresh water or in salt water, is easily done in Vero Beach. The city has inland lakes that are abundant with game fish. For saltwater fishing, a boat offshore or by the Sebastian Inlet is great for catching a snapper, grouper, or king mackerel.
Like any other beach in Florida, Vero Beach suffers from the same hurricane season, lightning and thunderstorms, and maritime pests.
Vero Beach is also popular because the Major League Baseball Team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, hold their annual spring training camp in the area. Christened “Dodgertown”, this area is well known throughout the United States. It is a fully equipped facility with a number of practice diamonds, a stadium, some dining options, and locker rooms. During the regular baseball season, the local Minor League Team, the Vero Beach Devil Rays play in the Holman Stadium.

Apart from the attractions of the seashore, Vero Beach is also home to some of the most exclusive golf clubs in the country. It also has a few nature parks and preserves.
For the more culturally inclined, Vero Beach has a variety of galleries, a museum, theaters, and music halls. Cultural shows and festivals can also be experienced throughout the year.
Vero Beach was named one of the “Top Beach Towns” in
America.
